Mac saint team started the game by scoring first, but our boy's replied with a great run by Manny who scored one of two tries. Another outstanding player was Sam who made a heap of first tackles or assisted in tackles, he also scored himself a try plus a conversion in his number 11 jersey. Other boy's that also scored were: Joshua, Mathieu and Dean. The tackling by the boy's is getting better. All the boy's either made the first tackle or assisted in the tackles great work boy's. The player of the day went to Joshua Polson and the tackling trophy went to Mathieu. Great work guy's keep the hard work up and keep having lots of fun. Special thanks to dean's Mum and Dad and Manny's dad for all there help on game day. So Remember this is your club, your child and your help will make this club even more successful than it already is. U/7 TIGERS 8 ALL SAINTS 38 What a game! the 1st time the boys played without a coach on the field and they went fantastic, all the boys just new what they had to do, it was just unfortunate the other team was better than us on the day, but the boys never stopped trying. U/8-2 TIGERS 30 MINTO 20

Congratulations to all the boys for their 1st WIN for the season. We started off with 3 awesome tries which gave us a head start to the game, giving us a score of 16-0. A big thumbs up to our defence line as they kept Minto Cobras from not scoring one try in the 1st quarter. Although we had an upset during the 2nd quarter giving the other team 2 quick tries to make the score 16-10, we still kept strong and never gave up. To top the game off for the day, ours boys pulled their socks up and defended the line and scored 3 brilliant tries which gave us a final score of 30-20. Great effort to Shannon, who gained a lot of yards for the team and scoring himself 2 tries which gave him the Man of the Match. Good effort to Tristian, who did a lot of defence and attack for our team and awarded himself the Encouragement Award. Defence is what won us the game. Boys lets keep up the Good work and remember to have fun out on the field. A very disappointing effort this week from our boys, a high error rate and sloppy tackling allowed ESA to run away with the game. The boys really didn't turn up to play today, and seemed to have their minds on other matters. Richard won our man of the match this week with a superb level of effort in defence in an otherwise average performance. A MUCH IMPROVED PERFORMANCE THIS WEEK FROM ALL THE BOYS BUT WE STILL HAVE TO PLAY FOR 40 MINS NOT 20 .IN THE LAST 3 WEEKS WE HAVE PLAYED THE TOP 3 SIDES AND BEEN IN ALL 3 GAMES AT HALF TIME BUT THINGS HAVE JUST GONE A LITTLE GRAZY IN THE SECOND HALF .WE NEED TO SPREAD OUT A LOT MORE IN DEFENCE ,YOU ALL NO HOW TO DO IT .IF WE WORK HARDER AT TRAINING WE CAN BEAT ALL THESE SIDES. U/10-2 TIGERS 14 LCC 12

This was our first week in division 2 and all the boys stood up to be counted. We were up against the team that was coming second on the ladder, but the boys refused to let their undefeated tag end. The game was not the sort of game we were used to, but everything we expected, which is why we won the game. We handled everything that LCC threw at us and did not let some extremely bad call from the ref get us down. For the first time this year we were not leading at half time, but we realised what we needed to do in both attack and defence, and we did it. Our half time scenario was not great, not only were we down by six points, but we lost David for the rest of the game due to a head clash. We needed to move Kurt from the centres into halfback to replace David and Alex (usually a second rower) into the centres to fill Kurt’s spot. With the shuffle in the back line it took us a few minutes to organise ourselves again but it all worked out in the end. Our 2nd half performance was amazing. We did not let in a point and completed our sets, which resulted in two second half tries and our first win in division 2, which keeps our undefeated streak alive. All the coaching staff are very proud of the boys, and I’m sure the parents are as well. Keep up the good work boys. U/12-3 TIGERS 10 MACARTHUR SAINTS 8 Well what a game We went up against the compotion leaders & came out on top with a 10 – 8 win. The boys proved once again that they can compete with the top end of the field. This was one game we needed win, just too let the rest of the comp know that we are here & not to be discounted. Shear determination & a will to win really got us across the line.( well done boys, you should be proud ) the boys trained hard all week & knew each & every one had a job to do & they done it in good form. With a 6 – 0 lead at half time I thought we’d roll on with it .But as football goes the opposition fought their way back into the game ( mostly through our mistakes ) with 10 minutes on the clock we were down by 6 - 8 & we needed some thing to go our way( we had nothing ) 5 minutes left, we go back to the game plan( our forwards lay the platform & our backs do the rest ) Jesse scores a well earnt try that won us the game, with 2 minute’s left. Great defensive efforts by Rhana , Mick & tyso & powerful running from every single one of our forwards. Keep up the good work boys, truly inspirational. Another win boys 2 wins in a row. A strong defence game. 2 injuries and a send off weakened us for the 2nd half and let the saints back into the game. credit to our defence that won us the game. Congratulations to Dean Stanley, Michael Zerafa, Nathan Rymer and Michael Luka for being chosen by the magpie Reps.Tries; Jayden, Paul, Dean (2) Goals; Rhys (3 from 4) Man of the Match; Nathan Tackling; Daniel !!..WINNING STARTS MONDAY...!

U/14-2 TIGERS 19 MACARTHUR SAINTS 10

Well, we knew it was going to be a close one, and Mac Saints didn’t let us down. They pushed us to the wire, but we did make them look better than they were. Once again we only had twelve men, but were fortunate enough to get four of the U/13’s boys to step up and give us a hand. Our thanks to them for their continued support. Although we still have four of our own players out with injuries, this game was a good guide to how we’re really travelling, given Mac Saints came into the game with only one loss to their name. A smart 1st half field goal from Brendon Salcedo gave us a 7 -6 lead at the break and although we looked much better in the 2nd half, the coaching staff were still biting their nails until the final siren, when Adam Booth went over from dummy half to seal it. As usual, Skipper Blaine Rico and his front row partner Brendan Gohari led by example, scoring tries, making plenty of hit ups and tackling strongly in another solid performance. Dillon Maher was also strong in the centres and continues to carve them up from dummy half. Other solid performers were Dillon Sheslow, Jonathon Flanagan and Hayden Ward on the wing. A special mention goes to our new five eight, Alex McNamara, who was good with the ball in his hands and very strong in defence. So much so, that some of our forwards should be embarrassed. All in all, a win is a win, but we’re a long way from winning a premiership. U/15-1 TIGERS 38 LCC 10 We took on the team which ran 2nd last year and let them score 3 minutes into the game there try was a reflection of Friday nights training, we bounced back quickly and played some good footy going into ½ time 18-6 up. You fellas took note of my comments at ½ time about LCC weakness and put an extra 20 points on however we let them score again on the edge late in the 2nd ½ .8 tries we have let in all year have all been on our edges we will fix this immediately completion rate 5/8 & 5/10 and only 78 tackles made from us good work. Players Player Solo B&F 3 Jake Ryan, 2 Sonny Bristow, 1 Brain Benavente And Welcome Back Brian. Congrats to the 6 boys selected in reps those that missed out work harder and you will get there. Next week we take on the team we couldn’t beat last year hinchinbrook so we need to be focused to keep our unbeaten status. WINNERS NEVER GIVE UP GIVE UPS NEVER WIN

Round 3 Match Report

U/15-1 TIGERS 22 Ashcroft 8

This was a game that would see us up against a side that hadn’t been beaten in 18 months and last year’s premiers of division 1. We started well by scoring early under the post with the mumma move very executed by Jake Ryan and finished off by Adam Alphabet giving us a 6 nil led we then kicked a penalty goal from 35 out and causing the Ashcroft bench to get upset. We then scored from a solo scrum move and solo scored it. On the half time bell they scored out wide due to our outside backs not moving up however it left us leading 12 – 4. Our completion rate was near perfect being 9 from 11. We came back from the halftime break and let them get over us for a while but not letting them across our line. Our completion rate was crap in this half 5-12 however we managed to score a couple of good tries and they again only scored from our mistake. We are starting to jell as a side and can go far if we keep our heads and train harder and smarter overall a great game with us playing mostly to our game plain. Every player had ago that’s all I ask. Players Player Solo Alone B&F Points 3 Solo, 2 Jake Ryan 1 Sonny Bristow. Special Mention and welcome return to Chris Bostock good game. Thanks to Dylan Maher for playing up. I cant resist in letting you all no NORMIE MASON PLAYED THE GAME IN MAKE UP he had a special photo shoot with his lovely girl friend Mari prior to the game and forget to take his MAKE UP OFF. 2 Wins in a row, a wholehearted performance in attack and defence. Under pressure from the start, even from before kick-off due to the change in Starting times, but the boys stood up and stuck together as a team. A change of Tactics as most of the boys played school footy during the week. We ran it wide on most plays And it paid off with a great team try scored by Paul, 2nd try by Mr. Luka with a chip and a re-gather 10 metres out to score. A great team effort, keep it up boys!!! Thanks to the support team for keeping their cool, getting the boys ready for kick-off at such short notice. U/12-3 TIGERS 50 ESA 0 R2 Report WELL, WELL, WELL. What a turn around from last week. The boys knew they had to step up from that performance & they did it in style. They trained hard on their defence all week & the results were evident. We dominated ESA the entire game scoring 10 tries & kicking 5 goals for a score of 50-0 in our favour. A great game was had by all the guys and it’s hard to separate them it was truly a team effort with our forwards laying the platform with some great direction from Jacob #7 & our backs finally found some direction with Jesse at #6. Stephen, Josh M & Tyso each bagged a try, Jess & Abanoub scoring a double & BIG Charlie boy brining home a hat trick with goals going to Josh M, Charles, Adam, David, & Jye. This game was an indication of how you boys can really play, by hard training, come greater results. Keep up the good work and well done. GREAT GAME GUYS Matt & coaching staff

Round 3 Match Report

U/8-4 Tigers 32 Hinchinbrook 16

Both Hinchinbrook and our boys went into this game with two wins from as many games, it was a match up. Whilst our boys came away with the points it was an average performance. Fighting and a lack or discipline whilst in possession resulted in more mistakes than we made in the previous two weeks. To keep winning games boys we need to support each other, encourage each other, play our positions and above all else play as a team. In defence the boys were outstanding, the forwards went forward as one and the backs swept well and defended well. Special mention to both Lachlan and James who pulled off some try saving tackles, and Blake running in three tries. A very average performance this week guys. You have the potential to be a great football team. Let’s work together and enjoy our footy and leave the fighting at home. Tries: Blake 3, Issac 2 James 2, Goals James and Lachlan. Well, what a actioned packed game this was!!
All boys turned up with the enthusiasm that was required to make this game a great encounter. Despite being denied a win, all the boys played an outstanding game. Congratulations to Jarrod, scoring 2 tries in the game.
It is early times yet, with plenty more games ahead. Hopefully, next week will see a win our way!

A good game by all the boys even through we went down by 30 to 10 we proved we can score tries but we need to work on learning to tackle properly. Rhys won the tackling trophy this week with sum fantastic tackling and Dean won the MacDonald's award so remember boy's the most important thing is to keep having fun as Fiona And I are having lots fun coaching. Thank you to Dean's mum for helping with the scoring on game day.

A rematch of last year’s grand final in division 2 seen us win our 1st game in division 1.
We lead early and had a couple of tries disallowed but we stuck together and game away with the win. We need to listen to our instruction and carry them out on the field.
