U/6 TIGERS 30 MAC FIELDS 16 Well a top match this weekend boy's with a 30 - 16 win over the Hawks. All the boy's played extremely well and tackled there hearts out all match. Adam won the tackling trophy this weekend with a fine display of tackling and Manny won the man of the match award with a good tackling display and sum superb runs. Tries to Brendan, Sam, Rhys, Dean, Mathieu, Joshua, Remember boy's lets keep showing the other kid's in the club how much fun we all have playing football.

U/7 TIGERS 6 LCC 40 Unfortunately another loss, all the boys tried really hard as they do week after week. It is just a shame that we come up against a very experienced team. Keep your chin up boys and keep showing the tigers pride.

Try score Brent and conversion Brent. Medallion went to Kieran McDonald Award goes to Brendan
Coach Lisa Randall

U/8-2 TIGERS 14 COLLIES #1 26 Despite losing to 2nd place collie's No.1, I was very pleased with the boys efforts, very confident right to the end that the boys could match it with this team, there are great signs that the boys are improving and are starting to find and fit in with a structured game style. Efforts by Josh Webster, Shannon Denning to name a few are really instrumental to us going forward, I was most impressed with Trevor Green picking up 2 TACKLES, (GREAT WORK SHREK). WHAT a 60metre effort to out run the opposition by Tui Leatigaga to score under the sticks get us within a converted try (makes ya heart stomp) I sure wouldn’t wanna take Tui on in a 100 metre! OH and Craig Calvert running from Dummy half taking on 6 defenders.... I was sure he was not gunna get across the line,.. But he rubbed my nose in it YET again, ... ANOTHER 4 pointer to Craig, well done SON! We just need to fix up our one on one's and our first line of defence and I am positive we will do amazing things and pose a great threat to this under 8's competition

U/8- 4 TIGERS 32 MAC SAINTS 16

Another strong performance from the boys this week to remain undefeated. A superb effort in defence from the whole team kept Saints options limited and force them to make mistakes. At the final break scores were close with the tigers leading by only two points, but a mistake free third allowed the boys to keep Saints out and score 18 unanswered points. Jardin and Isaac guided the boys well around the park each taking turns at first receiver, with great service from Bryson at dummy half. Our forwards Isaac, Bailey and Matthew tackled and ran the ball well all game, with our backs cover defence strong in support. Two tries to James and Lachlan and tries each to Blake and Jardin were the result of the platform laid by our forwards. Great effort boys. Tries: James 2, Lachlan 2, Jardin 1 and Blake 1, Goals James, Blake, Bailey and Isaac. Man of Match: Isaac Encouragement: Brandon S

U/9-1 TIGERS 6 Collies 20

Well boys after last weeks performance i must say this was very disappointing .we were totally outclassed defensively and once again made to many silly mistakes .We have to many players just sitting back waiting for someone else to do the work but then turn around and complain after the game. Boys we now play for 40 minutes so there is no point in going out and playing for 10 or 20 because its 40 so start putting in for a full 40 minutes. Boys this is 1st division so if you are not doing what you are suppose to i have to put you on the bench, i don’t like doing this regardless what some people think but there is no I in team .Its simple put in with your best effort every week and you get a full game.
On the bright side there is plenty of room for improvement so lets come to training ready to train, last week was a joke i
thought i was running a baby sitting clinic (TO MUCH MUCKING AROUND).
Jacob, Chris and Brendan lets keep up Saturdays form your best game of the year.
TRY: BAILEY GOAL: BRADLEY TROPHY: BRENDAN MEDALLION: BAILEY MACDONALDS AWARD: JOSH
Lets get it together boys and we can do anything.

U/9-3 TIGERS 0 B’DOGS 46 Well team we are getting better our defence was a bit how you going but we work on that. We are starting to talk to one another still bunching up, got to get ball out quicker and start attacking them on there half remember boys two on one tackles, once we get our tackling down to a art we will be a good team. Once again hang there we came good the last half but a lot of work to do just remember listen, learn, and have fun. Also like to mention, you are a team, you all work together we will start winning boys just remember. We can do it we are tigers. LETS ROAR.ALSO REMEMBER GO FORWARD NOT BACKWARDS. Proud of you all im glad to see you all put in and try your best. DAVE BUTLER

U/12-1 TIGERS 10 ESA 18 Wow what a turn around. Last week we got beaten 54 – nil by last year’s runners up, in what I believe is the worst we have ever played. This week we narrowly got beaten by ESA who won the last four grand finals in division 1. The boys really turned up to play this game and boy did they play well against a much bigger and aggressive team. Our completion rate was nearly perfect, guaranteeing we had the better field position, due to strong hit ups from Ireland, Khaled and Kero, pin point kicking from Matty and even better chasing from our backs, ensured that ESA were continuously made to run the ball from there own line. From there our defence really stood up to be counted this game, the boys tackled every thing that moved always moving up pressuring them into making mistakes, two of their tries were lucky, one came from a kick and a bad bounce, the other from a dropped ball. Our up and slide defence was fantastic as well as the defence in the middle led as always by Tye, Reed and Ireland, Kero put on some big hits that will worry them till next time we play, also Lukaia and Dillon were great when they pushed into the middle to give the forwards a spell. We continued to put them on the ground, which gave us much more time to get set. Its very pleasing to see things come off in a game that the boys practice hard at training, This week our enthusiasm was there from the start and we need to have it every game. Thanks to Aaron, Stephan and Tyso who played up this week to fill a few holes thru injuries, you did not let anyone down. Players Player – Kero, well-done Kero you stood up and lead by example, keep up the great work. Tries: Kero 2, Goals: Jack 1 An excellent team effort well done boys.

U/14-2 TIGERS 40 Collies 6 We’ve had some good wins this season, but there was none which required more character than this one. With a heavy injury toll staring us in the face, we took the field with just 12 men and at times played with only 11. On top of that we had 2 or 3 playing with injury and illness, but our team spirit wasn’t about to be broken. We took on Collegians knowing that we would have to once again take it up a notch and we did exactly that. Brendon Gohari was carrying a bad flu into the game, but was also constantly seen carrying Collies players on his back. A total of 4 tries and 17 tackles has got us very excited about seeing him play when he’s fully fit. Once again, Blaine Rico led from the front, like all good Captains should, and also got himself a try and made 12 tackles. Patrick Irwin was outstanding with 8 tackles and 10 hit ups and showed that he can mix it with the big boys. Adam Booth was very solid at hooker in defence, making 10 strong tackles and giving good service out of dummy half. With the threat of “Copping his Mum’s thong,” Dylan Sheslow also produced an outstanding performance at inside centre, making 12 tackles and 7 hit ups. Dylan Maher, as always, was brilliant at outside centre, and even carrying a leg injury, managed 15 tackles, 4 hit ups and a try. All in all, it was a good result given we had 12 men up against their 17, but as always, there’s plenty of room for improvement, which is very encouraging considering we’ve now scored 206 points and only let in 26 after just 5 games. So boys, let’s keep away from skate boards, park footy, soccer in the school play ground and anything else that could see us playing with 7 or 8 next week.

U/15-1 TIGERS 16 COLLIES 10 We took on the team running 3rd and we played like we were running last not an undefeated team coming first. We only had 1 replacement and I asked you all to lift and put in for your teammates but some of you just refuse to dig deep so when we have our full team back on board be prepared to wear 21 & 29 and keep me company on the bench. The game was full of mistakes and our game plain went straight out the window I keep telling you boys we are a good side and we could be an excellent side if you do what I ask you to do at training and take it out on the field but some of you think you are already an excellent side. We really made an average side look good the way we played. We must also remember that despite being watched by wests magpie selectors we need to play as a team not individuals. We broke the line 11 times and could only manage 3 tries and we had 10 drop balls 9 of which we just didn’t show our hands the most basic thing to do in rugby league is SHOW YOUR HANDS. Completion Rate 8-12 & 5-10 this stat shows you why you did 112 tackles in the game. Good to Sam Doyon wear the TIGERS jersey for the 1st time did well Sam 7 Tackles 2 hit ups. Players Player Adam Alphabet B&F 3 Adam Alphabet 2 Jake Ryan 1 Solo Alone LETS BE THE TEAM WE COULD BE NOT THE TEAM YOUR HEADS THINK YOU ARE WINNERS NEVER GIVE UP GIVE UPS NEVER WIN

U/16-2 TIGERS 26 MAC SAINTS 6 The boys recorded their first win of the season on Saturday with an entertaining 26-6 win over Mac Saints. Built on the back of some tight goal line defence we were able to wear away the opposition's resolve, enabling us to open up in attack and produce some sharp, free-flowing football that resulted in some fine tries. While we dominated for the majority of play there were still some areas of concern that must be rectified before we become a premiership threat, most notably our completions from the restart of play. We will need to sharpen up our attack and intensity in defence as well as keep focus and improve our attacking sets or accept that we will lose more games than win. Hopefully we can continue to improve and build on our first win. If we turn up next week cocky and over confident we'll be slaughtered. If we turn up to training, work hard and strive to improve then this win will be the beginning of an unstoppable force. A great team effort from all.
